Appearance, startup & updates

Set your theme, launch at login, and keep track of the version you are using.

In the appSettings → General

On this page

Choose a theme

Under Settings → General → Theme, choose Sunrise, Indigo, Daybreak, or Ember. Indigo is the default; Daybreak provides a light appearance.

The theme changes the app’s appearance, including the recording indicator. Use Overlay settings to change its size, position, and visibility.

Launch at login

Under Startup, enable Launch MicMyDay at login to make the menu-bar app available when you sign in to your Mac.

The setup assistant also offers this choice. Turn it off here if you prefer to open MicMyDay yourself from Applications.

Check for app updates

  1. Open Settings → General → Updates.
  2. Choose Check for Updates.
  3. Follow the updater’s instructions if a newer version is available.

Check automatically is enabled by default and controls background update checks. When an update is available, follow the updater’s prompts to install it.

The Currently text shows your installed version and build number. Include both when reporting a problem.
